February is Quiltathon Month.  On February  8, 2012, around 50 NeedleChasers gathered at the home of Debbie Lamb-Mechanick. Teams of members sewed 20 quilt tops  for donation to HSC Pediatrics. Our WeeBees group will finish the lap-size quilts, which are designed with motifs appealing to children. Below are several examples of the quilts.

 

In  January 2012, NeedleChasers  showcase  recently completed quilts in our regular "Show and Tell" session. 

 

 

In December 2011, NeedleChasers ring in the holidays with a potluck lunch hosted by Debbie Lamb-Mechanick, followed by a "Show and Tell" of member work.

NeedleChasers Recent Meetings and Workshops...

NeedleChasers exhibit their skills all around town.

 
Allegra Brelsford's :The Moon is Angry" was selected for the Sacred Threads show in the spring of 2011. Two of the four pieces by Al Feldman which were selected for "Rare Alignments", an exhibit celebrating fascination with pattern and numbers, now showing in Berkeley Spring, WV.  "Homage to Hubble: I" byt Joan Stogis was selected for the Smithsonian Community Art Show, summer of 2011.
